Hey Megan, I’m here to assure there’s nothing wrong with you. It sounds like you’re going through a lot and as a result, you’re experiencing prolonged episodes of anxiety and possibly depression. If it’s within your means, I encourage you to reach out to a professional. They might be able to assist in identifying the stressors that’s causing you to feel unmotivated and anxious. I hope you’ll be able to get through what you’re going through, I’m sending good vibes your way. 🎈

@Mitchel Thank you very much. I do go to therapy and I am looking into support groups that can help as well.

@megan kohler you’re welcomed! I hope everything smooths over for you soon. Therapy helps but support workshops are a game changer! I’m involved in many, online and in person, but if it’s something you have the energy for it and you’re opened to suggestions, try volunteering! Volunteering helps with improving interpersonal skills, finding community, and advocating for the community as well 🫂

@Mitchel I would like to volunteer, but I’m really looking for another job, but maybe volunteering can lead to a job could it?

@megan kohler volunteering is a great way to network! I was able to briefly work a courthouse job because I did volunteer work for some partnering organisations, however if job searching is a priority then it’s best to prioritise it with urgency

@Mitchel I’m really prioritizing it but nobody seems to want me. It’s definitely lowering my morale

@megan kohler job searching is unfortunately a job in itself, but don’t lower your standards. You’ll regret it more than anything. It’ll take time but that’s okay. Even if you’re unable to find something immediately I encourage you to keep searching. I know it’s easier said than done but eventually something will come along. When I was unemployed, I spent 5-8hrs submitting application after application. I landed and aced interviewers but employers still wouldn’t call me back. I’m sharing this because despite it being frustrating, I eventually found something and didn’t have to lower my standards for it. I’m doing what I love and couldn’t be happier. I had to wait a little, but the wait was worthwhile.
