deep negative thoughts

One day I heard my friends fathers death news and from that day my negative thoughts are increasing. If this happens with my family members, if it happens now, or if it happens with me, if it happens while eating,while working , even if I try hard to come out, my thoughts turn round and round on the same subject, these thoughts stick very deep.
