I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. Life can be tough and confusing sometimes, and it's okay to question things. As for me, I've found my life's purpose in my work. I absolutely love what I do, and it breathes new life into me every single day. It's more than just a job for me, it's my passion. I'm fortunate enough to work with some really cool people who share the same thoughts and ideas as me. We support each other and it's like a second family. I know work may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's what gives my life meaning. I hope that you can find something that gives your life purpose and meaning, too. Whether it's work, a hobby or something else entirely? Just know that it's important to find joy in what you do.
Wow, that's such a deeply philosophical question. I mean, I'm not sure I even know how to answer it, to be honest. What is the meaning of my life, right? So much has happened in the last year, it's kind of crazy to look back and think about it all. Seriously, I feel like I'm a completely different person than I was a year ago. If you'd asked me this question back then, I probably would have had a completely different answer. But now, I've come to the conclusion that the meaning of my life is, well... me. Yeah, that's right. I've learned to love myself and to prioritize my own wellbeing. And let me tell you, it feels amazing. I refuse to let anyone hurt me or belittle me. I mean, why should anyone have the power to make us feel less than we are? We should never let anyone belittle us in our lives!
@Lucia I've noticed quite a few of your comments about your work. It's really refreshing to see someone speak so positively about their job. It made me curious, how did you find this job of yours? It almost seems like a fairy tale to me, finding such a good place to work.
@Haley I know, right? I often pinch myself to make sure it's real! I feel so lucky and grateful. I really do love my job and the people I work with. It's as simple as this - I found this job in a newspaper five years ago. I know things were different back then, the world was in a better place and there seemed to be more interesting job opportunities. But even now, there are still good opportunities out there. The key is to never stop looking and never lose hope! Always keep searching for the job that feels right for you. I hope you find your dream job soon, just like I did. Keep believing, it's out there!
@Lucia That's very cool, I'm glad! Once again, I just want to say that you're going to do great! Don't worry about that presentation. It's gonna be great. I can tell that you're passionate about your work, and that's what matters.
By the way, I got so caught up in the topic of work that I even forgot to answer the question of the post. And it's very interesting by the way. I'm actually NOT trying to get my head around what my purpose in life is, otherwise things would be bad. As you can see, I'm looking for a job, which means I have nothing to hold on to, no financial stability. Of course, I'd like to believe that money isn't everything, but it's the basis of life after all. I'm just trying to find my place in this world. So no clear answer for now. I don’t know if it’s good or bad.
The meaning of my life lies in my family. I have a son and a husband whom I love dearly. They are my rock, my support system. Without them, I wouldn't be the person I am today. Before I met my husband, I was in a similar place as you, wondering about the meaning of it all. But after we met, things started to fall into place. And when we had our son, my life became even more complete. Now, I live for them, no matter how tough things get. It's not always easy, but it's definitely worth it. It's just a matter of finding what makes you happy and gives your life purpose. For me, it's my family. For you, it might be something else. But don't worry, you'll find it. Keep searching, and never lose hope!
Sounds almost like an existential crisis. I’ve been experiencing something similar. It reminds me of the Billie Eilish song from the Barbie movie called. “What was I made for? “I found that song deeply resonated with me and how I feel like I don’t know who I am and what I was made to do I think for now you just gotta keep searching really Find something that makes you happy That’s all I have to say about that
@khayes892 >i don't know how to answer that question
> gives a better explanation hahaha
love it, thanks for such a comprehensive answer to be honest! i think we all need a lil bit more love towards ourselves. people can really say stuff that stays in our heads forever, it's not normal, man
@Lucia thanks for your kind words. it's good to know that you've found purpose in your work. i've heard people say that if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. maybe you're right, maybe i just need to find what brings me joy. i've been stuck in the same old routine for so long, i honestly can't remember what it's like to feel passionate about something. but i guess it won't hurt to try and find something. maybe then i'll find some meaning in all this.
@Haley i feel you. it's tough when you're struggling financially and trying to find your place in this world. i mean, i'm not exactly the rich kid haha i wish tho. but i guess that's life, right? we all have our struggles, and it's about how we deal with them that defines us. i hope you find a job soon, one that doesn't just pay the bills but also brings you some level of satisfaction. keep your head up, okay? i hope things turn around for you soon..and for me hopefully haha
Life has a meaning if you attach an meaning to it. Everyone has a reason to do things in life. The reason could be responsibilities. You need to ask yourself why are you working? if i don't work what will happen? if you would have not studied would it have changed something in your life. try asking question in "if" ways to understand if you don't do it what happens? how would your life be different? This will help you in process of understanding the benefits or reasons of doing it.
There are times when there is no end goal for many but people do things like working just to fulfill their responsibilities.
It is very important you find inner joy and peace to do things that will only keep you going. Do atleast one thing in the entire day which gives you joy. This will keep you motivated.
