Hi! I'm sorry to hear that! You must be taking a cab..... I think you must have gotten that from a bad fight. You know, when I'm afraid of something, I decide what I'm least afraid of. And I start overcoming the smallest fear. For example, maybe you're least afraid to go to the subway. Or even go in and just stand in the hall, overcoming a little anxiety. And you can practice that every day. Then start practicing the next stage of fear.
Hi! when I was young, I used to compare myself to guys all the time too, in terms of strength. I felt like whoever was stronger won. I want to give you some advice. You're in sports. So you know that in sports the strongest spirit wins. Start working on that. Imagine the subway, are you afraid of all men or only strong men? And why do men have to attack you? I think they don't need to attack you in the subway. Try to force yourself to overcome your fear a little each day, one step at a time. Overcoming yourself is also a kind of sport.
Hi! I think you're too fixated on this problem. Get on the subway, listen to your favorite music, relax, no one will attack you!!!! Keep your mind occupied with your daily activities and it'll go away. That's what I always do!
Don't be afraid to face danger. Don't think about losing, think about winning. It doesn't matter if someone's stronger. You have to set yourself up to win. and it will work out.
I believe that all fears are obstacles in your head. Just get them out of there. First, take it out- write it in your phone and delete the file. After that, tell yourself that you are free of fear. Just free. That's what I always do.
Bullying is pretty rough and traumatic experience and i understand the paranoia due to it. The pain of the bullying would lead you to be isolated, vulnerable and anxious.
Kindly do the following:
Every time you are scared to ride the subway ask yourself:
Why are you scared of it? If answer is bullies then ask next question
What will happen if you meet the bullies? Answer is beaten then ask
Is it possible to see a bully every time in subway ?
What more can bully do to you to the max you can think of?
Visualise and see that one defeat with peer will be the same conclusion with all the people you meet in subway?
If you are tired to be afraid then what else can you do to overcome this outcome?
What according to you weak means?
How can you make yourself stronger?
These answers are within you. Start becoming aware of it by probing your mind and answering it. This will help you with the confidence.
Try visualising in your mind what other outcomes are possible if you meet a bully? How can you turn the series of event into better way for you. Try visualising those positive outcomes frequently. It will make you strong and prepared to face the situation.
If you feel weak then try learning a martial art like karate or taekwondo or kick boxing which gives you to strength and confidence within you to fight if needed. Your fear of getting bullied comes from lack of confidence in being able to defend yourself. Competence will give you the confidence. Get trained for that.
