Demoted For Communicating Disabilities

So a few days ago it’s been brought to my attention by one of my managers that a supervisor reported my constant inquiries despite not only communicating at the start of being hired, but every second in between, that I have a diagnosed processing disability which results in delay and/or confusion of comprehension.

Initially, I was seemingly met with support and understanding. However earlier this evening I received an email that it’s been a conclusive decision to demote me, essentially because of my processing disability. For a brief moment I was distraught, but even still being upset presently, tomorrow I’ve arranged for an in person discussion to be had.

I don’t understand why employers pretend to be accommodating of disabilities of EVERY range, luring people into a false sense of security, but I’ve conclusively decided to start job searching again. I loved this job at first, but I have a sneaking suspicion it’s only going to worsen if I stay any longer. I’m not in a position to jump job to job, but I refuse to tolerate ableism.
