Alcoholic husband is a challenge for you and your family.

i want you to ask these questions to yourself and write it down. Ponder over it.

  • You stated that everyone says it's bad growing without father. Do you feel that as well?
  • what according to you is good example for child?
  • Do you feel your child should meet him everyday? Yes or no? If yes why and if no why?
  • Can you change anything in the present or past? if you cant then how will you move on?
  • what are the positive traits you see in yourself?

After you have answered these you will get a better clarity of how to go ahead. i am stating down few pointers which can help you:

Self Thought Decision:

Now days kids are smart enough to understand what is right or wrong. let the decision of talking to dad be left on them to decide. If you force them not to talk they may repel in the future for that saying you did not allow us to talk to our dad. rather let them decide and own that decision.

Role model for kids:

You be a role model for your kids. set an example of how a parent should be and inculcate good habits in your kids by emulating that in your everyday routine. they would observe your behaviour everyday and learn.

Circle of life :

write down 5 most important people in your life. See how do these people help you in your journey to live a life. See how can you reciprocate the same for them and help them to live this journey of life.

Repeat this 7 c's:

repeat this 7 c's.

>>>i did not Cause

>>>I cant Cure

>>>I can't Control

>>> I can help take Care of my myself by Communicating my feelings, making healthy Choices and Celebrating me.

this will uplift your mood and energies. keep motivating yourself.

Spend time with children

arrange weekly activity for example watching movie, playing game together or going to park. Keep this routine like every saturday night or sunday. This way you can establish good rapport and communication with kids. Know what they are going through and actively listen to them without being judgemental. Do not burden your child with your emotions. Do speak to your friends or therapist for it. This will help you in having healthy relation with kids initially.

Build your kids Confidence and Resilience

Support your children to have hobbies.interest and friendship outside home. Watch out for sign of any form of stress and help them to cope with it. Talk to them, take them out for walk to cope with stress.

I hope this helps.

How could you traumatize your children like that? To say that the father is dead when he is alive!!! You need to talk to the father and get out of this situation. The kids are gonna cry.

As a man who scouts, I can't calmly read stories like this. No matter what a father does, you can't say that to a child. Oh, that's horrible! God forbid someone says that about me. I'm raising a child after a divorce, I've only had meetings.

I too have a child and it is wild to me to read about my mother-in-law's act...how could anyone say such a thing to her children...now it is necessary for her to tell them herself how she made the joke....

Don't worry, the children still have a father. Even if he doesn't come, they still know he is alive. Maybe he will change his mind and decide to visit the kids.... We need to tell them he's alive....

You're strong! You can raise your children without a father!!! You can do it!!! But telling your kids he's dead is too much!!! Maybe he'll come to his senses!

Don't worry, the situation is solvable ... My mother-in-law, of course, did it wrong. The man is alive ... then as she said, so let her speak again
