strange bedtime story

I accidentally got involved in a weird story. Tonight I was texting a friend about my plans for tomorrow. We were supposed to have a "fairy tales for grown-ups" event at work. And I texted her, "what story are we telling?" . And because I didn't get the phone number from the directory, I got it wrong by one digit. no one answered, so I called. A man picked up the phone, and he started to ask what the stories were about. I apologized and said I had the wrong number. The man wrote that I had a very pleasant voice and he would just like to talk to me. I've been resisting correspondence for a long time. But then I agreed. The man really just chatted, telling me how he was doing. I didn't see anything wrong with it, and forgot about it. After a while he asked for a call again. Explaining that he liked my voice and it calmed him down. I don't know why, I said yes. Probably because we didn't talk about sex. For me, everything was decent and acceptable. Then he called regularly, telling me about himself, thanking me and disappearing. I told myself I was helping a man with something. But I didn't know anything about him. One day he said he couldn't give up my vote. It sounds in his head, and his bad moods go away. Turns out he has 12 children and a very complicated life. He doesn't think about cheating on his spouse, he loves his children, he doesn't drink alcohol, and to his surprise I am the only one who can help. He explained that when he first read the message about the story that came to him, he wanted to feel like a child and the story.

It had to end. So he decided that the meeting would kill all the feelings. And it would help me and him. We met at a restaurant, and really, he didn't call again after that. The fairy tale was over. I'm relieved, but I'm also worried about how he's coping now.
