Hello!

Video games are exciting entertainment for people of all ages. If played too often, games begin to take up all of your time and attention and can even turn into a dangerous obsession. Coping with game addiction is difficult, but possible if you take it seriously.

Below are two methods that will help to cope with the addiction.

The first method will help reduce the number of hours spent playing video games.

1. Promise yourself to take control

It is useless to resist if there is no inner desire to stop. Therefore, the first step is to recognize that you are a victim of addiction, but don’t let it rule your life.

Tip: Tell someone about your decision or write it down on a piece of paper and keep it in a visible place. Formal announcement of goals will make decisions more binding and encourage you to keep your word.

2. Limit yourself to strict time limits

Take note of how much time you spend in front of a monitor each day and decide to reduce your time by one hour. If the idea of playing a whole hour less seems like overkill, start with half an hour or even 20 minutes and gradually reduce the amount of playing time until you feel the need to play is gone.

3. Allow yourself to play only at the end of the day

Make video games a reward for productivity and important daily tasks. If you always start playing in the morning, you run the risk of spending time playing games when you need to get ready for work, school or other duties.

As for the second method, it will help you completely give up video games.

1. Assess the negative impact of games on your life

Remember that there is only one step from a hobby to wasting life. Perhaps, as a result of game addiction, your academic performance has suffered, relationships with loved ones or health have deteriorated, because a sedentary lifestyle brings significant harm. One way or another, assessing the negative consequences of game addiction will be the necessary motivation that will convince you to give up playing video games.

2. Put your gaming accessories in a hard-to-reach place

Put your console and games in a box to take to the attic, basement, top shelf in a closet or other hard-to-reach place. It is much easier to permanently give up a thing if it is not constantly in sight.

3. Give games and play systems to other people

Take your console to a thrift store or donate to a charitable organization to please those who cannot afford games for a variety of reasons.

Delete downloaded games to ease the temptation to have games at hand.

We hope that our recommendations will help you. We wish you good luck in overcoming addiction!

I can understand, such things can be addictive, and some people do it regularly too, but you need to make sure, that even if it is a habit right and you enjoy it, you should not risk all your money over it, you wish to try your luck do it, but make an amount cut that I'll not gamble more than this, even if I have chances of winning big but no I will not, rather I will save up these small wins which can be equal to that bug win but less riskier than that

If you really really wish to stop something no temptation can lure you my friend

You need to decide straight and strong in your brain once and for all, if you make up your mind then nothing can stop you.

But I feel even if you wish to do it as something out of interest , do it, but make sure you don't risk all the savings and money you own, make limits to it

Hello! I'm a player too! I also suffer from this addiction ... Only I play on the stock exchange ... I was advised to convince myself that the win was an accident and that I did not expect it. And they also advised me to switch to work. Do you manage to control your game after advice?
