I'm having a difficult time comprehending how single parents with no support can manage to raise children and take care of all the expenses that come with it. I make around 40k a year before taxes, but I still struggle to make ends meet.
I pay 900 dollars in rent and my electricity bill can go up to 300 dollars in the winter. I also have a 100 dollar phone bill, 50 dollar internet bill, 150 dollars in gas, 100 dollars for personal items and groceries, and various other small expenses. I have a cat and an elderly dog that require monthly medication, adding another 50 dollars to my expenses. When my student loans start again, I expect to pay close to 300 dollars a month.
On top of all of this, I have a credit card with 2k on it, which adds to my stress about money. And my car is getting old and I'm constantly worried about what will happen if it breaks down. I feel like I'm starting to loose sleep because of this stress.
How do you manage to handle all of these expenses?
